Leicestershire won the toss and decided to bat on what looked like a good batting track at Nassington. Sure enough Leicestershire piled up the runs with the aid of some poor fielding and some inaccurate bowling, J Kirkham scoring his first ton for Leicestershire. Hunts pulled things back in the last 10 overs with Daniel Malem taking 4 for 25 in his 6 overs. Leicestershire finished on 271 for 8 in their 50 overs a total which at one point looked like being well over 300 great credit to all the Hunts boys for pulling things back.

Hunts got off to a solid start with Rob Lowin and Daniel Robinson opening the innings. The openers put on 124 for the first wicket (Daniel Robinson 36) as Hunts kept up with the run rate. Rob Lowin took the attack to Leicestershire as he seemed to grow in confidence with every shoot. Leicestershire squeezed the game in the middle overs by denying Lowin the strike and bowling at the new batsmen. Rob Lowin was eventually bowled out for 88 in the 36^th over. Hunts were all out for 233 in the 48^th over with Joe Dawborn unbeaten on 32. A great effort by the Hunts batters, the Leicestershire coaches were also all full of praise for our effort with the bat.
