Outclassed and outplayed on a flat St Ives track, Hunts were always behind the black ball after failing to post a decent total after winning the toss and electing to bat on a hot sunny day. Hunts got off to the worst possible start loosing two early wickets in the first 4 overs. At 8 for 2 Billy Curtis and Daniel Bandaranaike set about rebuilding the innings against some good tight bowling. Progress was slow as Hunts. only managed to get the score passed the hundred mark in the 35^th over. The innings was given some impetus from the late order with Rob Lowin (24) and an unbroken last wicket stand of 34 from James Trafford (11) and Jack Prime (20). Hunts finished on 177 for 9 in their 50 over with Daniel Bandaranaike (39) top scoring.

Cambs got off to a flyer scoring at 6 per over. Unfortunately a controversial catch at slip off the bowling of Jack Skidmore changed the game for Hunts, the umpire gave the batsman out and then the square leg umpire reversed the decision. This seem to upset the whole team who lost their focus and just seem to be going through the motions. Cams got to Hunts total in the 30^th over for the loss of two late wickets. The unlucky Luke Spears being bowled by James Trafford on 99 when the score was on 168.
